Stadium for Cornwall plans can proceed

Peter Marks, Chairman of The Stadium for Cornwall Group, is delighted to announce that he has been reliably informed that Eric Pickles, The Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government, has allowed the plans for The Stadium for Cornwall to proceed to the next stage.

Peter Marks stated: "This is fantastic news. There were objections from a small minority of nay-sayers who attempted to get Mr Pickles to call in the application.

Thankfully The Secretary of State has seen sense and allowed the stadium to progress to the detailed planning stage.

There are many hurdles still to overcome but we are confident that with a positive approach all challenges can be met and we can realise the dream of a first class stadium for the people of Cornwall."
